Director, Photographer and Artist 

 

Ark Saroj Kunatand is a renowned television director, photographer and visual artist based in Bangkok. As an OG member of Trasher Bangkok, Ark is infamous for directing parody music videos and organising Inclusive Parties pre-Covid-19. He made his directorial debut with acclaimed web drama "Getaway" for Asia's leading LGBTQIA media publication "Dear Straight People" ; his recent TV series is called “Shadow” is now airing on VIU streaming service. Ark's future directorial project "My Golden Blood", a Vampire BL drama-series in 2024, has become one of the most anticipating project of GMMTV because of the new paring power couple like Joss and Gawin and the trailer has set the tone of an unusual gothic romance for BL genre. 

 

Ark’s film and TV work is imbued with a sense of darkness and psychological drama, and can be read in complement to his photographic body of work, which deftly explores modern-day intimacy through intimate and sensual male portraits. As Ark himself states, hopefully one day the two spheres of his photography and fictional work will collide.
